ick

Still sick. Still not pregnant (so Barren? You can stop holding out that tiny bit of hope, okay?).

I have yet to schedule my beta, which is supposed to be Friday. I wonder if they'll notice if I don't show up for it? I'm guessing they would notice. Back in 2006 when I was away on vacation (the only real vacation I've ever taken in my entire life) on a beta day (and had told them I wouldn't be there on beta day), they freaked out when I didn't show up for my beta. But then, having not been on PIO, I'd had solid proof that that IUI (#2) had failed miserably.

So ... not showing up for my beta is probably not an option right?

Probably can't skip that one. I always hated to bother with it too if I knew for sure it was negative.

Right. Not an option, even though it's a super-crappy one. I dreaded that test (and especially the phone call afterward telling me what I already knew).

sorry you're still feeling crummy - I hope you feel better soon.

I skipped a beta once - we were on vacation, I just did a bunch of HPTs for a few days before/after the beta was due, and once I was fully convinced that it was negative, I quit the PIO.

Really sorry you're sick, that is insult to injury.

re the beta, personally i've always gone in on the day that makes sense to me, which has varied between the equivalent of 13 and 15 dpo. I think it's worth going in, just to draw a line under this cycle.

You gotta go for the beta, but could you sneak in tomorrow so you can at least quit the PIO?

I never understood why they make us go for a beta when we know it's a BFN. At least once you go, you can stop the PIO...
